Portico’s multi-lingual, culturally competent staff help people navigate the complex process of finding and understanding health insurance. Our enrollment experts connect Minnesota’s most vulnerable and difficult-to-reach residents with health coverage and care.

Portico’s MNsure Enrollment Coordinator position supports the screening and enrollment of diverse populations into Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP). This role is critical to providing excellent customer service, maximizing Portico’s impact to the community, and building Portico’s talent pipeline. As a MNsure Enrollment Coordinator, employees grow their knowledge and experience applying MHCP eligibility requirements while developing best practices for client service, data tracking, case follow-up and time management.

Essential Job Duties (job duties that are necessary to the position)

Duties include:

Client intake and appointment pre-screening
Independent resolution of client issues including coverage verification, reporting eligibility changes to servicing agencies, resolving incomplete applications, as well as reading and understanding notices
Incoming client document management
Pending case resolution
To be successful in this role, you must:

Protect client confidential data and documentation
Have reliable, high-speed internet connectivity capable of supporting high phone volumes and technological tools required to deliver remote services
Complete annual MNsure certification to become a certified MNsure Navigator
Stay current on MNsure policies, Affordable Care Act (ACA) rules, upcoming changes, and effect the political process has on the current programs
Gain understanding of the culture and values of the clients being served, demonstrate respect and sensitivity to clients from diverse backgrounds
Be multilingual, with strong preference for native or otherwise fluent Vietnamese speakers
Inform clients of available community resources and provide referrals to internal and external experts
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience. Interest in a career in social services or similar field.
One (1) year of experience and/or education in a social services or health and human services field. Career interest in working in a social services environment.
Bilingual preferred (Vietnamese)
Job Type: Full-time; Remote

Pay: $19.50 per hour
