Tower Technician
RL Clotworthy Construction and Titan Telecom are looking for entry level Tower Tech�s to fill our ever-growing need.
Job Summary: Install telecommunication equipment at various cell sites. Assisting crews safely and efficiently wile working on New builds and MODS.
Duties and Responsibilities:
� Must have an ability and understanding and the ability to safely perform work maintaining and installing equipment on wireless telecom sites. Installing Antennas, RRUS, Pulling power and fiber ect.
� Have some experience in telecom or the construction industry.
� Must be professional and help establish and maintain a good working environment while onsite with the crews and clients.
� Serve as a mentor to new or less experienced technicians.
� Must have good housekeeping skills, keeping the work area clean keeping company property in good standings.
� Must be able to show up to work on time and with own transportation if needed to get to and from the job site.
� Ensure all safety docs are filled out at each site with crew and Foreman.
� Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
Education: High school diploma, general education degree (G.E.D.), or related trade school education
Experience:
One year or more of wireless telecommunications industry experience or construction experience.
Technical Skills:
� Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
� Ability to operate power tools and hand tools
� Proven ability to perform fiber and sweep testing if needed.
� Ability to operate aerial lifts, man lifts and aerial platform equipment
Soft Skills:
� Strong verbal communication skills
� Ability to meet strict deadlines
� Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams
� Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
� Highly organized and detail oriented
� Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgement, and solve problems
� Ability to motivate, lead, teach, and train on proper work and safety procedures
Physical Requirements:
� Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
� Must have a valid driver�s license and a driving record that meets Company requirements if required to drive.
� Must be in good physical condition
� Ability to pull his/her own body weight, plus equipment weight, up a vertical tower to 500 feet repeatedly for long periods of time
� Ability to reach, climb, and/or grasp ladders or other tall structures
� Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
� Ability to work long and unpredictable hours
� Ability to travel away from home up to 75% of the time, including weekends and extended travel if needed per site. Travel includes local site travel or national travel depending on business needs. Travel is no always required but needed on a site-by-site basis.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
