Toddler Teacher Assistant
Sonshine Christian Early Learning Center is looking for a flexible energetic individual to work with our amazing Toddler Teacher. Interest in Sign Language is a plus!
Qualifications:
The person selected for this position must be a born again Christian. Minimum requirements are graduation from high school or GED, and some experience working with children between the ages of 12 months – 5 years. In addition, this person must meet the requirements of the Washington State Department of Early Learning. This person must exhibit a nurturing, caring attitude, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well with children and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the staff handbook .
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
Assist in planning and implementing the daily activities with the co-lead teacher
Integrate the Bible, spiritual concepts and prayer in curriculum;
Supervision of children;
Assist in planning and maintaining a safe, clean, learning environment and in assuring the well being and safety of the children in his/her care.
Work cooperatively with all staff;
Treat all children, staff and families with respect and dignity;
Requirements, most can be met after hire:
DCYF Background Authorization through Merit
First Aid Card
CPR card
HIV training
Blood borne Pathogens card
Results of a one-step TB test prior to starting work
30 hours basic training
Stackable Certificates completed within five years of hire (will be paid through Early Achievers)
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $14.49 - $15.50 per hour
