WHAT IS THIS TEAM ABOUT?
Our NDT Team provides an inspection using Non-Destructive methods to evaluate the properties of a material or component, without causing damage or destruction to it. The team works in either gas or nuclear power plants, paper mills, solar panels facilities, machine shops, service shops, etc. inspecting their components.
WHAT IS NDT? WHAT�S A CAREER IN NDT MEAN?
A career in NDT is extremely dynamic, where up-to-date training is a necessity. Qualification is very important in order to be qualified to inspect a component. NDT technician can expect to have to refresh skills regularly, attend training courses and taking examinations.
DUTIES:
-Set up NDT equipment
-Perform test on components, record and classify the results according to industry standards and procedures
-Report the results/finding
-Maintain shop facility, test equipment and tools in good working condition
-Perform other assigned duties
-Contribute to continuous improvements and innovations
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Self-starter and value a strong work ethic
-Collaborative, teamwork and highly motivated
-Effective communicator, able to communicate verbally and electronically in professional manner
-Detailed oriented and understand the importance of safety
-Good aptitude for basic math � necessary for doing calculations related to indications
-Comfortable working in a high level of noise and high traffic environment such as in a turbine deck in a power plant; working in an outdoor and indoor or in confined spaces like crawl and tight spaces
-Have a good computer skill and comfortable with Microsoft software such as email Outlook, Word and Excel, Gmail.
REQUIREMENT:
-Must have an authorization to work in the U.S. without VISA sponsorship
-Must be at least 21 years old
-Must pass a criminal background and drug test necessary to access nuclear power plants
-Love and willing to travel the country and outside US; travel is about 75% of the time.
-Ability to lift 50lbs
-Have a valid driver�s license
-Must have a 1-2 years of college experience and a high school diploma
-Reside within a reasonable driving distance to the Albany, NY area
