Our small private school is seeking experienced elementary school teachers to educate a single class of students, with the support of a teaching aide.
Qualifications & Requirements: Excellent oral and communication skills. Flexible team player, able to relate effectively with diverse staff, students, parents, and community within a rigorous elementary school academic environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Demonstrates a working knowledge of methods, materials and techniques used to teach content for elementary students, equitably
-Maintain a caring, student-centered classroom environment that invites exploration and inquiry.
-Uses a variety of instructional techniques and materials, which are appropriate to meet the needs of all students and understands the value of differentiating instruction
-Organizes classroom systems/procedures and manages student behavior to ensure all students are fully engaged and learning
-Develops and implements Student Accommodation Plans, as needed.
-Assesses students’ critical thinking and social-emotional skills for the purposes of refining classroom activities and providing feedback to students, parents and administrations regarding students’ progress, expectations and goals
-Actively participates in professional development opportunities for the purposes of improving the quality of student outcomes and planning curriculum in elementary education
Salary & Benefits: $40K to $50K, based on credentials and experience.
