Looking for someone excited to love and support preschool / pre-k aged children with social challenges specifically Autism Spectrum Disorder in a dynamic relationship / play based therapeutic school program. We are a small private school with a ratio of six kids to 2 teachers. Our teachers work in a co teacher model. We have very low turnover, many lead teachers have been working at FUSE since the beginning.
FUSE opened 10 years ago to provide children with social challenges an educational environment that was focused on social and emotional learning development. We utilize curriculum's such as DIRFloortime, Zones of Regulation,Social Thinking and Mindfulness. To intentionally teach social and emotional development.
We provide extensive training to all new hires and ongoing professional development to all teachers. Teachers have time each day to plan and prep for the next day. Teachers are supervised weekly by the founder Lauren Weeks, a child psychologist. Each teacher team works closely with a speech therapist and an occupational therapist as well. ------------
We require a college degree and some experience with children and preferably children with special needs.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
