Steel Erector
Welding and Fabrication shop looking for experienced welders. Full time/year round work. Pay based on experience. Welders perform duties in the field related to all elements of steel, aluminum and other metals fabrication, erection and welding. Duties primarily involve welding processes but also include operating basic hand tools, component assembly, operating welding machines and metal fabrication equipment including saws, drills, grinders that are associated with structural steel, aluminum and other metals fabrication. Must have experience.
Operating lifting and hoisting machinery like forklifts, straps, chains etc...And applying safety practice at work while performing his duties.
Arranging and assuring the welded parts to be in order before being assembled into final products; using such tools as square, measuring tapes, hammers and grinding for this task.
Igniting flame or striking an arc while welding or performing other electricity-related work to weld parts of metal components.
Clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, bolting, or grinding as necessary to satisfy the technical requirements and create a welded final product.
Welding spare parts in various directions: flat, horizontal and vertical.
Operating other equipment and performing multiple tasks necessary like plasma cutting and welding metal, such as fusing metal segments by using mig welders.
Supervising and identifying any fault while operating equipment or in relation to any material, then notifying the supervisor.
Performs duties assigned by the supervisor and/or lead.
Ability to carry out oral and written instructions.
Ability to communicate well with supervisors, lead-man, and other co-workers.
Ability to read blue prints and or drawings.
Ability to read a tape measure. Including adding and subtracting measurements.
Ability to use hand and power tools,
Heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and/or moving odd shaped objects.
Must be able to pass drug test and background screening.
Must have valid driver license and good driving record.
Steel toed boots are a requirement for safety standards.
Must be able to provide work references in similar work environment.
