The position of Speech and Language Pathologist is responsible for providing direct services to consumers. Must also complete comprehensive evaluations, recommendations as well as develop objective and measurable treatment goals and service plans. Therapist is also responsible for periodic reviews and all documentation surrounding discipline. Provide community education, consultation with other interdisciplinary Team members and respond to consumer service requests.

Conduct thorough speech therapy assessments/evaluations in compliance with Agency and Medicaid Standards
Design consumer treatment plans that are based on clients needs and the least restrictive treatment services
Develop measurable and objective goals that directly reflect the comprehensive assessment
Function as a member of the multidisciplinary team to determine the least restrictive type and scope of treatment
Complete and ensure all prior authorizations are obtained and coordination of care is complete
Conduct Periodic Status Reviews as well as Addendums as deemed clinically appropriate and medically necessary
Provide consultation and training to other staff as requested
Develop and maintain written records necessary for professional practice as defined in the procedural manual
Train and supervise students, volunteers as directed
Engage in community education
Conduct self and peer audits
Perform similar or related duties as assigned

Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in Speech and Language pathology as well as certification in the State of Michigan in good standing. Must also possess one year of relevant experience with persons with developmental disabilities and/or persons with a Traumatic Brain Injury or Mental Impairment and one year of pediatric experience. Must meet eligibility criteria as a Children�s Mental Health Professional, Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional and a Qualified Mental Health Professional.

This is a salaried position.
