Solar Installer
We are looking to hire several Solar Installers in the Southeast Florida area, servicing Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Monroe counties. Our Solar Installers are an integral part of our installation teams and assist with the mechanical portions of both residential and commercial solar system installs.
This is an opportunity to work with and learn from a group of expert solar installers with more than 35 years of experience. While no previous experience is strictly required, we are looking for someone interested in growing within the company, with a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
-Show up on time and ready to work for all projects.
-Load and unload equipment and supplies.
-Assist with layout, assembly, and installation of solar array, mounting hardware, energy products, and electrical wiring.
-Prepare and cleanup each job site.
-Maintain and cleanup the installation van.
-Log accurate inventory of installation materials.
-Perform all duties safely and efficiently.
-Attend site inspections as needed.
-Report to installation team leader and operations leader.
-Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
-Must have own transportation to get to job sites and have a clean driving record, valid driver’s license, and ability to drive the installation van.
-1 year of roofing or rooftop solar work preferred, but not required.
-Ability to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently during working hours.
-Ability to work in harsh environments, such as extreme heat, crawl spaces, on roofs, and at extreme heights.
-Ability to safely handle and maintain basic hand and power tools.
-Professional demeanor around team members, homeowners, clients, inspectors, etc.
-Ability to work Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm with the opportunity for additional hours. Hours will vary depending on scope of work, complexity of installation, and location.
-Ability to climb 40’ ladder and navigate steep pitched roofs of all styles.
-High attention to detail.
-Keep a neat, clean, professional appearance at all times.
-Ability to follow instructions, learn quickly, and know when to ask questions.
-18+ years of age.
