Essential Job Functions:
• Operates manufacturing machinery at least 100% of shift.
• Participates in fixture and tooling validation activities.
• Completes assemblies and packaging.
• Follows safety, HAZCOM, and GMP guidelines. Follows applicable standard operating procedures, work instructions, test methods and drawings. Checks manufacturing procedures to verify procedures and revisions.
• Monitors processes for product rejects or deviations from quality standards, including rework, and/or scrap.
• Meets production goals established for each operation.
• May be called upon to complete other tasks as needed and assigned by the supervisor.
• May assist with training of new employees
• Meet production goals established for each operation
• Completes critical measurements using Vision System
• Responsible to print and complete necessary documentation per manufacturing work order.
• Assists with or performs equipment set-up, and during production makes adjustments to equipment, within allowable limits, to produce components and material within specifications.
• Verifies the accuracy of machine set up.
• May have Production Lead or Coordinator responsibilities as needed.
• Monitors and measures output of productions processes, dimensional characteristics or physical properties, for example may utilize statistical process control methods to determine product conformance.
• Notifies manufacturing supervision, engineering and/or the maintenance department of equipment problems or issues which are beyond the scope of the employees training and responsibilities.
• Provides material handling, quality support to manufacturing process.
• Responsible for set up of higher-level machinery for production utilization by Machine Operators.
Basic Qualification
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Competency and understanding of the English language. Conversation, reading and writing skills.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow complex written procedural instructions.
• Ability to follow written directions in English.
• Good hand/eye coordination and ability to handle and manufacture small and delicate parts.
• Familiarity with microscopes.
• Ability to accurately use the Vision System to compute critical valve measurements.
• Understanding of control charting and basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to set –up equipment in the department, including changing dies and mandrels and making process and machine adjustments necessary to get components which meet product standards.
