Residential Draftsman
Jmack Architects is seeking a qualified residential designer to join our Architectural Design team. These Team Members will have a key role in the designing and developing projects in Houston and surrounding areas.
Job Responsibilities:
? Development of both single-family and multi-family architectural plans and some light commercial plans
? Ensures that all architectural plans are compliant with the codes and requirements specified by the permitting local authority
? Revise architectural plans as marked and thoroughly coordinates all sheets that are affected by any changes.
? Develop details per drawing specifics.
? Ensures established deadlines are met.
? Facilitates problem solving with fellow team members and City Coordinators.
Job Requirements:
? Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, Engineering or related field preferred. Or applied technical degree in Architectural design with 4 or more years working knowledge of residential plans and construction
? Proficiency in CAD required
? Knowledge of residential construction drawings
? An ideal candidate will possess the following essential soft skills: team player, excellent time and project management, problem solving, sense of urgency, creative, detail oriented, and a great deal of flexibility
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
Benefits: Paid time off
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience: CAD: 3 years (Preferred)
