Registered Dental Hygienist
Looking for a passionate dental assistant to join our growing team! We are a quality-oriented, private practice in Westchester near LAX.
Applicants must be fast learners, extremely reliable, prompt, possess exceptional communication skills, be motivated, eager to learn, outgoing personality, upbeat attitude, be a self-starter and a team player with the ability to multitask, follow instructions with attention to details, accept constructive criticism and learn quickly..
Responsibilities
Welcome customers in the dental office
Take digital x-rays in an accurate and timely manner
Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
Schedule appointments, input data, and document clinical notes
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Front desk cross training and willingness to assist with administrative when needed
*We are willing to train you to use our Itero intraoral scanner.
Skills
Proven experience as dental assistant
Dentrix proficiency
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Good computer skills
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable
Multitasker with adaptability
High school diploma; graduation from dental assistant school
Seeking someone to work Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and some Saturdays. Shifts are 6-12 hours depending on the day. Immediate opening for qualified individuals. If you are detail oriented and enjoy providing outstanding care to patients, we want to hear from you. Please email your resume.
