Vessl is searching for a dependable Quality Manager to work in partnership with our Logistics and Production departments to ensure that the products coming in and out of Vessl’s facility are of the highest standard. In this position, you can expect to train, support, and/or verify on a day-to-day basis. The Quality Manager will be directly supporting the team to ensure that training is proper training occurs, help monitor product traceability, complete audits for our suppliers (to check if everything is in-spec), and verify that batch paperwork is accurate and promptly submitted.


Key responsibilities:

Knowledge of Food GMPs
Perform quality control functions (typical swabs, pre-op checks, etc.)
Build organized work instructions in high-quality documents (SoPs, Forms) with the correct information
Help maintain current bath paperwork and quality documents
Support the Operations team

Experience:

1-3 years of experience in the Food industry or similar
Strong teamwork
Proven service skills
Familiar with virtual tools (Zoom, DropBox, Google Suite, etc.)
Desire to work in a fast-paced workplace

Qualifications:

Knowledge of Quality Tools
Great attention to detail
Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
Ability to lean, bend, stoop, and crouch
Ability to reach above the shoulders and below the knees
Ability to lift up to pounds regularly
Ability to occasionally lift of materials of up to 32 pounds
Ability to rarely lift materials of up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in the following fields: Biological Sciences, Food Sciences, Alcohol & Beverage
Certification for any GFSI (i.e. BRC, SQF, etc.)
Certification in HACCP for Food Safety
PCQI certificate
