Quality Control Technician

Responsible for:
Setting up, operating, and troubleshooting Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) machines. Routinely performing first-piece inspections of parts using inspection instruments other than a CMM, for example, optical comparators, pin gauges, and calipers.
Performs duties as a Quality Inspector performing first piece, in-process, and final inspection when needed.

Qualifications:
Must be familiar with how to set, operate and troubleshoot a CMM machine (we use a CM DMIS program/software).
Reading blueprints/drawing.
Proficient with measuring, using micrometers, calipers, gages, hand tools, etc.
Associates Degree or 5-10 years� experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working in FDA medical device and ISO 13485 regulated environment a plus. Knowledge of EPICOR.

Computer Skills:
Knowledge of ISO 9000 /ISO 13485 quality management systems and proficient use of Microsoft products � specifically Microsoft Excel.
Ability to write and edit CMM programs using PCDMIS CAD++, including using CMM Machines is strongly preferred.
Experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC), gage R&R and Process Capability Studies is strongly preferred.

Shift: 2nd shift (2:30 pm � 11:00 pm; two 10-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch); overtime available during the week; overtime on Saturdays runs from 4-6 hours earlier in the day.
