Fast-paced engineering/architecture/design firm seeking a Professional Engineer to join our residential team. We are a multi-discipline firm with architectural, civil engineering, landscape architecture, planning, interior design, structural engineering, survey, and related services.

Requirements:
Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Engineering
P.E. License in the State of Texas
MINIMUM five (5) years of engineering experience required.
Proficient in the latest versions of AutoCAD, Excel, and word processing software.
Knowledge and application of engineering theories and principles, concepts, and fundamentals
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Assist in the development of internal design guidelines, specifications, and design control procedures.

Set and monitor budgets for the project

Manage Engineering staff design time against a budget

Meet with private and public agencies before and during the project
Help develop production processes

Ability to work independently, and to manage multiple projects with limited supervision.

Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate engineering information clearly and concisely.

Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems

Interact with drafting/design group to develop and review engineering drawings.

Visit job sites to evaluate the site, project requirements, and conditions.

Adhere to safe design practices, while focusing on identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Assess the feasibility of projects by assessing materials, costs, and time requirements, applying knowledge and techniques of engineering and advanced mathematics. Utilize complex and repetitive calculations

Analyze and examine different strategies, equations, and applications to ensure appropriate procedures are applied and/or utilized. Resolve design and development issues.

Provide advice and assistance on work techniques, best practices, and subject matter expertise to co-workers.

Serve as Engineer in Responsible Charge as assigned, and adhere to regulations regarding PE sealing requirements specific to assigned projects.
