Position: Production Supervisor
Classification: Full-Time Non-Exempt

The production supervisor leads the production floor in all aspects of manufacturing of our products. They coordinate the personnel on the floor to ensure maximum output with highest level of efficiencies and assisting in promoting a Safety First culture within the plant. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining production levels during 10-12 hour shifts, which requires constant supervision in our production area.

• Accomplish production staff results by onboarding, communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures

• Assists in maintaining appropriate staff requirements by assisting the process of recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; and monitoring and reviewing the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement

• Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; resolving problems

• Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms of control, and implementing change as approved by management

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing all employees on the use of all equipment and resources; maintain compliance with established policies and standard operating procedures

•Define problems, resolve issues, and make appropriate recommendations to management to exercise continuous quality improvement and to exceed customer expectations.


Skills:

• Bilingual - English and Spanish is required
• USDA experience preferable
• Previous manufacturing experience preferably in a “ready to eat” food manufacturing environment
• Sound judgment and decision making ability
• Problem solving and analytical ability
• Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities

• Strong project management skills and multi-tasking skills

• 3 or more years' experience supervising 10+ employees including performance reviews
