We are looking for high-quality Infant/Toddler/Preschool Teachers to prepare small children for kindergarten by easing their entry into organized education for childcare facilities in Philadelphia. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include educational methods as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate in the next level of education. Job Details for Early Child Teacher:
� Pay Rate: $15-$22 DOE
� Schedule: Monday-Friday (flexible)
� Flexible Assignments: Full-time and Part time, Substitute
� Short-term and Long-term assignments

Job Responsibilities & Description for Early Child Teacher:
� Implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the creative curriculum/program suitable for preschool children
� Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, hands on, etc.) to teach children
� Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
� Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
� Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth and ensure children are using toys and equipment appropriately
� Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify colors, numbers, or shapes, do crafts, science, sensory, etc.)
� Track children�s progress and report to parents
� Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children�s background and psyche
� Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Job Requirements for Early Child Teacher:

Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements

� For a Lead Teacher: 2 years of experience required. Associates degree in ECE (Early Childhood Education) or bachelor�s degree in a related field (preferred)
� For Assistant Teacher: Minimum of CDA certification or ability to attain a CDA or a minimum of 6 ECE credits within one year
* For Teacher Aide: No experience required
� CPR and First Aid Certified or willingness to obtain
� Must have or be able to obtain child abuse clearance, criminal background, NSOR, and FBI fingerprints
� Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 lbs., and work indoors or outdoors
� Ability to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
� Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
� Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
� Excellent communication and instructional skills
� Detailed-oriented, dependable, professional
� Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen
