The Behavioral Wellness Clinic (BWC) has an opportunity for a post-doctoral position for a new Lexington location of our growing specialty clinic. While BWC provides psychotherapy across a variety of conditions and populations, therapists primarily specialize in the provision of evidence-based treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and other anxiety related disorders. BWC therapists are cross trained to treat patients across all services, as well as participate in multidisciplinary treatment and consultation teams.

Prior training and experience in the provision of evidence-based therapies is preferred. While specific training in the treatment of OCD or eating disorders is a plus, it is understood that most applicants and new hires have no previous training in those approaches. We offer extensive training from clinical staff members who are experts in the field, as well as monthly didactic training, weekly consultation teams, and access to a comprehensive digital library of treatment manuals, workbooks, handouts, and peer-reviewed journal articles. It is our goal to support your development as a specialist in the provision of evidence-based therapies for OCD & Eating Disorders. Additional training is also offered to therapists interested in learning more about using virtual reality in exposure-based work, DBT, ACT, family-based treatment for adolescents, and evidence-based approaches for the treatment of PTSD. We work closely with researchers at the University of Louisville, and are therefore continuously using novel, evidence-based practices with our patients.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, motivated, and collaborative therapist to join our full-time staff. We are interested in candidates who value diversity and inclusion, and who are interested in exploring ways to raise awareness of implicit bias and barriers to quality mental health care. A full-time therapist would be involved in the following duties, tasks, responsibilities, and capacities:

Provide intake assessments to inform treatment plans
Utilize evidence-based treatment approaches in individual and group formats (couples and family formats are also available)
Attendance at interdisciplinary treatment teams and regular consultation and training to build and develop competency in treatment approaches
Participation in trainings and willingness to grow in knowledge of evidence-based treatments across a range of diverse populations (e.g., children, older adults)
Ability to be flexible with a caseload that includes children, adolescents, and adults
Willingness to work with a diverse population of individuals
Supervision is included

Other requirements and preferences are as follows:

PHD or PSYD in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psych

As a thriving and growing specialty clinic, salary will be commensurate with prior experience with potential for substantial increases and bonuses. There are also opportunities for growth and future leadership roles.
