Job Description:
You will be responsible for spearheading major projects with high visibility clients. You will be designing displays and fixtures for various products from industries such as consumer electronics, footwear, outdoor products, hardware, gaming, and bicycle accessories. Our small office environment demands multi-skilled designers adept at concept generation, engineering, managing manufacturing details, and overall project management. You will be working with both domestic and offshore vendors. Our displays are featured in stores nationwide, including Best Buy, REI, Costco, as well as specialty shops and chain stores worldwide. � Be a prolific brainstormer, energetic self-starter, and motivated problem-solver
� Be mechanically inclined, organized, and hands-on oriented
� Have a command of design tools including Adobe Creative Suite
� Be an expert in generating part drawings and 3D models with Solidworks
� Understand and generate BOMs
� Have a command of PDM Works
� Have experience with PhotoView
� Experience with specifying hardware
� Understand various manufacturing processes and materials including sheet metal, wire, wood, plastic, and cardboard
� Have a professional attitude and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and juggle multiple projects
� Have excellent communication skills � both written and spoken � and the confidence to engage with global clients and vendors
� Pay close attention to detail and be very organized
� Thrive in a collaborative, creative, and supportive environment with opportunities for growth, mentorship, and leadership development
� Possess an affable personality, and know what affable means
Here�s what you�ll need to dazzle us:
� Have experience with managing vendor/supplier relations
� Have prior experience in Display, Retail or P-O-P (A definite plus!)
� Are interested in outdoor products, consumer electronics, and sporting goods
� Like dogs � come pass our beagle test!
Educational Requirements:
� Possess a 4-year college degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or Engineering
