LA Injury Attorneys is a dynamic Burbank based personal injury law firm seeking an Attorney for immediate consideration.

Requirements: Candidate must be experienced in all facets of personal injury litigation and be able to independently manage a case load, be licensed to practice law in the state of California, possess a valid driver's license, have their own transportation, and be willing to travel throughout the states to attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer. Excellent organizational skills and time management a must. Spanish speaker is preferred, but not mandatory. Ability to adhere to strict deadlines while multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment is necessary. Experience with Needles case management program is preferred, but not required.

Job Description: Responsible for organizing and overseeing the progression of all litigated cases in the firm while working in conjunction with the partner, an associate, trial counsel, and litigation staff. Looking for candidates that have excellent oral and written communication skills, can handle a heavy case load, are team players with a service attitude, and have a superior ability to maintain effective relationships with other attorneys, staff and the general public.

Candidate will work within the various aspects of litigation, from filing lawsuits to preparing for trial. Among other things, duties will include: taking depositions; making court appearances; preparing pleadings and motions; propounding and responding to discovery; drafting meet and confer letters; and typing, formatting and proof-reading legal documents and correspondence, including mediation briefs, trial briefs, and MSC briefs from scratch. The attorney will also be responsible for getting cases ready for trial and/or settlement, reviewing discovery, negotiating settlements, and preparing all trial related documents with the assistance of a legal secretary.

Qualified candidates must have a thorough understanding of the processes of state and federal litigation. Must be experienced in, and knowledgeable of, e-filing, trial procedures and deadlines, discovery, case management, and calendaring. The candidate should be outgoing, creative, intelligent, professional, and polished. Candidate should also be flexible to work overtime.
