Paralegal
Morgan, Cohen & Bach (MCB), is a Commercial Litigation, and Mediation firm that is absolutely obsessed with dominating the market by offering superior service to our clients. We have developed a defense system called A.I.M. (Attorneys, Investigators, Mediators) that is designed to protect our clients from businesses and organizations that are attempting to cause them financial harm. We have 173 law firms, over 300 private investigators, and a fleet of highly trained Mediators strategically spread across the United States. When it comes to mitigating loss for companies nobody operates with precision as we do.
We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Litigation team to help us tell the world about what we have to offer and to provide the best service to our clients. Our goal is to make our clients whole and avoid them from ending up with empty lawsuits.
Paralegal Qualifications and Skills:
Participating in educational opportunities to keep up to date on job knowledge
Reading professional publications
Maintaining personal networks
Participating in professional organizations
Excellent organization skills
Attention to detail
Legal research and investigation skills
Knowledge of Commercial Litigation & Post Judgment Execution Process
Ability to follow direction and procedures
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to prioritize workload and assignments
Sales Experience
Collection Industry experience a plus
Education and Experience Requirements:
Associates Degree or Paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program preferred, or a combination of education and/or experience
2-3 years of significant and substantive litigation experience as a paralegal/legal assistant in a law firm setting.
Experience drafting, cite-checking, and correcting legal briefs (trial and appellate).
Experience managing medium to large-scale document productions.
Proficiency with Document Review Software
Working knowledge and competency with case management software
Basic Understanding of Accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Compensation:
This position will start at an hourly rate between $16.00 - $20.00 per hour. But with the level of growth that we provide and expect out of any hire is the sky is the limit.
