A busy, welcoming family of three that splits time between Denver and Washington, DC is seeking a nanny to join them in caring for their infant!
Location: Denver, CO and Washington, DC
Ages of children: 2 months old
Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 45-50 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 8 am to 6 pm or similar. A candidate who is flexible to support some earlier days, nights, and weekends, will be appreciated. The family looks forward to designing a schedule that works well for all parties and travel readiness is key!
Compensation: The family is offering $35/hour based on the 45-50 hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $86-100k/year range dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule.
Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance and/or a health insurance stipend, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
Live-in/Live-out: When the family is in D.C., this will be a live-in position with a private bedroom and bathroom on a separate level of the home. When the family is in Denver, this will be a live-out position.
Household dynamic:
These active and hardworking parents are eager to find a nanny to join them in caring for their sweet newborn baby boy! They welcomed their child in December of last year, and are enjoying their first months together as a family of three and establishing routines. The family has partnered with a newborn care specialist for the first months, and will be transitioning to daytime care once they find a nanny to support them in getting back to their regular groove! The family also has a mellow, chill senior dog who loves having people around.
The family splits time between Denver and Washington DC, spending about ? of their time at home in Denver. They look forward to partnering with someone who is excited to support their travel needs, which will be communicated in advance! As busy dual-career parents, they enjoy taking time at home to relax, cooking food together, entertaining friends, catching up on their favorite shows, and playing sports. The parents look forward to finding a confident, nurturing nanny who can jump in and support their parenting venture!
Ideal candidate:
This position is ideal for a candidate who thrives in an autonomous role, while still enjoying a warm, supportive, welcoming work environment. A nanny who is proactive and is not afraid to jump in, and has a detail-oriented mentality will be valued in this home. A candidate who is well-versed in caring for infants and toddler stages and who is excited to grow alongside this family will be valued. This family splits their time between Denver and Washington D.C., and they look forward to working with a nanny who is open to supporting their family with travel prep, during traveling, and while in both locations.
This is a child-focused role, and all duties will pertain to baby’s needs. Responsibilities include creating an environment that is safe and nurturing for the child to grow and thrive! Children’s laundry, sanitizing bottles, and ensuring children’s spaces are tidy will be key, alongside ensuring developmental milestones are being met and proactively researching and implementing stimulating activities. While traveling, the nanny can expect to help pack for the baby, care for the baby on the airplane (as needed), and help baby settle in upon arrival.
While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who possesses a driver’s license! The family does not currently have a vehicle for the nanny to use, but they are open to providing one for professional use.
Qualifications:
3 years of professional childcare experience
Valid passport
Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to starting date in accordance with applicable laws
Knowledge and experience with infant and toddler age-appropriate developmental milestones
Experience traveling with families and children
Dog friendly! Willing to support light pet care.
