Open communication from a place of care for each other will be a vital part of maintaining everyones relationship during stressful times. The family plans to live around 5-7 months a year in Puerto Rico, travel all over the US, and spend a significant amount of time traveling through Europe and other countries. There will be times they will remain in the same place for several months at a time. Other times it will be a matter of a week or two. Nanny will need to be flexible and love frequent travel and changes. Travel plans can change dramatically. For example, if they loved living in Italy, they could see spending several months a year there, rather than spending significant amounts of time elsewhere. On the other hand, a family illness could lead the family to spend time in Hawaii with aging parents or in Puerto Rico. The ability to quickly pivot and change plans is essential to thriving in this position.

Their family culture is one that believes and supports an environment where many different genders, races, nationalities, and sexual orientations, and identities are valued and respected. The ideal candidate will be open to doing the same.
