Manufacturing Technician
Kirkman is seeking a Full-Time Manufacturing Technician who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment and has the ability to provide exceptional service to our customers. The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for production and manufacture of nutritional supplements.
Kirkman® is a leading manufacturer of nutritional supplements for individuals with environmental sensitivities and other special dietary needs. We have been producing pharmaceuticals and specialty nutritional supplements since 1949. We work with leading researchers, doctors and scientists to develop our products. Our goal is to offer the purest, most up-to-date, highest-quality dietary supplements available in the dosage forms that are easy to administer to children, adults, and people with special needs and special requirements.
Essential Duties:
• Be able to follow and comply with basic food processing hygiene guidelines.
• Follow all SOP’s, work instructions, verbal or written directions, and Employee Handbook regulations.
• Records and maintain FDA required documents; Follows FDA compliance and guidelines.
• Work well in a team environment as well as independently.
• Cleans machines and maintains equipment cleaning logs.
• Cross-trains with others and other departments.
• Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
• Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
• Weighs and blends products using scales, screens, and blenders.
• Encapsulates, tabletize using machinery, if requirements and in-house training are met.
• Cleans, sorts, and inspects capsules, after requirements and in-house training are met.
• Provides general house cleaning including sweeping, mopping, and maintains clean work areas.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• No previous experience required.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal or no supervision.
• Ability to multitask and adapt well to different dynamics in a fast-paced work environment.
• Creative and strong judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
Physical Requirements:
• Job requires standing or walking for up to 8 hours per workday.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
