REPORT TO: SSUSA-Bay Area Board of Advisors and SSUSA National Managing Director

Street Soccer USA-Bay Area is a chapter of National nonprofit Street Soccer USA. With the support of a
national network, you will be charged with the responsibility to build upon and lead the Bay Area Chapter
into its second decade. With robust programming and partnerships across the Bay Area, the Managing
Director will develop and expand upon existing relationships and assets to lead the program into new
areas of impact in line with Street Soccer USA�s mission and the local Board directives.
Since its inception, Street Soccer USA-Bay Area has built a welcoming, collaborative and innovative
culture at the forefront of the national SSUSA movement. The ideal candidate brings an entrepreneurial
spirit and a desire to bring soccer and social services to the Bay Area�s least served communities.

Position Summary:
The Street Soccer USA Managing Director - Bay Area (�MD�) is responsible for managing the
development, execution and growth of SSUSA�s sport for social change programming in the Bay Area as
well as its revenue generating leagues and venues. The MD also oversees and ensures quality
implementation of SSUSA programming at all sites throughout the region, ensuring quality execution by
staff, coaches and volunteers of SSUSA�s mission and methodologies.
This role comes with flexible hours, but you are expected to manage a team of 5-8 people and often
requires working non conventional hours including evenings and weekends. You will receive robust
support and mentorship from the National Office, and also have the opportunity to drive change and
interact with your community on a daily basis.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Fundraising and Expansion: 70%
? Manage relationships with Bay Area Board of Directors
? Support recruitment of new Board Members as needed as mandated by the SSUSA
Bay Area Board Chair and National Managing Director
? Recruit corporate and community partners to support the program financially
? Collaborate with SSUSA Central Staff on grant applications and other funding requests
? Manage relationships with Street Soccer USA�s existing city government, foundation and
corporate partners in Bay Area to maintain and grow funding from those entities (usually 15-20
applications per year)?
?Manage SSUSA�s annual campaign, recurring donors and seasonal events
?Track Outreach and Recruitment efforts in SSUSA�s Salesforce account in a timely manner
?Oversee SSUSA Bay Area�s social enterprise leagues/venues (The Crossing and I PLAY FOR
SF)
Programmatic Delivery and Staff/Volunteer Management: 30%
? Ensure that SSUSA-Bay Area is delivering programming that meets SSUSA�s youth
development best practices and curriculum
? Expand program according to SSUSA�s mission and Bay Area strategic plan
? Ensure quality implementation of off-the-field curriculum by staff that you manage
? Execute with National Office the SSUSA Street League, annual SSUSA Cup SF and Oakland.
? Administrative and management oversight of Bay Area Program Operations and Staff
? Collect program data, anecdotes, images from SSUSA�s Bay Area Programs
? Deliver Monthly Progress Report to the Managing director and the Chief of Staff.
? Recruit, train and manage programmatic staff
Education, Experience & Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree, focus on fundraising, management, public administration, public health,
community development, or sports management preferred.
? Minimum 5 years experience in fundraising or sales, non-profit experience preferred
? Strong management skills including managing complex, multifaceted programs resulting
in measurable successes and growth.
? Ability to work with diverse individuals and groups on complex community issues.
? Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, superior management skills; ability
to influence and engage direct and indirect reports.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details.
? Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for Street Soccer
USA�s mission.
? Enthusiasm for and preferably experience playing/coaching soccer.
