Crew Leader
Top Knotch Service is looking to hire an experienced Yard Maintenance/Property Maintenance Crew leader. You must have a drivers license, reliable transportation, and experience with various commercial grade mowers. We are looking for someone with an attention to detail, a willingness to be flexible, and ability to make decisions on a job site. This is a year round position, so you must be able to make it into work during snow storms for plowing services at properties.
This individual must be able to manage themselves and at times multiple employees with a strong desire for high quality work. This individual should be a highly motivated, self-starter, customer focus, with prior knowledge of commercial lawn maintenance, hardscape work, tree work and landscaping experience is a plus. You will be working under our Landscape Operations Manager and overseeing a landscape maintenance crew of between 2-4 persons. The ideal person will be able to be a strong team leader. We are a quality focused, employee oriented company. This position is a long term position, not a temporary opportunity; we are looking for someone who wants a career not a temporary job.
LAWN MAINTENANCE FOREMAN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
*Maintain weekly commercial and residential maintenance route and lawn mowing schedule.
Being punctual to work at 7:15 am during lawn maintenance season, goal is to leave yard for daily jobs at 7:30 am.
Daily cross check of all equipment to ensure safety.
Directly supervises crew members of work teams as required.
Works with minimal supervision and leads a team to complete lawn maintenance or enhancement services.
Able to drive truck and trailer.
Has experience working on large residential, commercial properties and homeowner associations.
Manages labor, equipment and material with minimal supervision to accomplish production schedules within established budgets.
Maintains strict adherence to established schedules and budgets to meet gross margin objectives.
Communicate any equipment problems to management and ensures resolution.
Is responsible for quality assurance and ensuring jobs are completed on-time and within budget.
Observe and enforce safety procedures and company policies.
Reports any safety concerns to appropriate parties and plays key role in resolution.
Troubleshoot and solve problems as needed.
Strong crew communication skills.
This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Must be in proper physical condition to perform daily outdoor work in all weather conditions.
Has snow removal experience and able to run a snow route through winter months. Has hardscape experience, home repair/maintenance experience and tree work/equipment experience.
*Pay range dependent on skills/qualifications. Willing to consider someone from another area.
� Ability to lift 60 lbs. + consistently throughout the day.
� High ability to deal with ambiguity in a high stress environment while keeping your composure on and off the job.
� Available to work a varied schedule (including Saturdays) in all adverse weather conditions.
� Stoop, stand and bend for 10 hours or more a day.
� Ability to read & write English, including maps & diagrams.
� A valid NC State driver�s license with a good record *REQUIRED.
