Jr. Architect
We are a growing architectural firm specializing in both residential and light commercial projects. The bulk of our architectural projects are located on Long Island.
We are currently seeking highly qualified, experienced junior architects/experienced cad drafters to join our firm. Applicants must be proficient in the production of comprehensive, detailed construction drawings for residential projects. Will train the right candidate.
Applicant must have excellent communication skills, capable of competently corresponding and interacting with professional consultants and with clients, must be a team player able to operate within a high-pressured, creative environment, and must be capable of concentrating on a variety of projects simultaneously and completing projects within a strict time-frame.
requirements:
Bachelor's or Masters's degree in Architecture
A minimum of 3 years of relevant architectural experience
proficiency with AutoCAD drawing
Ability to produce intricate, detail-oriented sets of construction drawings
Experience with site planning, zoning analysis, and code compliance.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Comprehensive knowledge of wood frame construction is highly desirable
