Under the leadership of the Senior Director of Commercial Contracts, the Janitor will be responsible for cleaning the public, dinning and office areas of the facility. The Janitor will provide a clean, sanitized and attractive environment for personnel and visitors. The Janitor will be detailed orientated and thorough in cleaning of the assigned facility. Additional duties may be assigned by the Senior Director of Commercial Contracts.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Dust mops, wet mops and sweeps floors.
2. Buff floors and spot carpet cleaning.
3. Collects and transports trash, cleans/relines trash containers with plastic bags inside and/or outside the building.
4. Washes sinks and other plumbing fixtures and replaces disposables such as: paper towels, soap and toilet paper.
5. Completes all cleaning duties such as dusting, cleaning and polishing furniture; polish metal or other bright surfaces that collect dust; clean mirrors and windows.
6. Cleans and sanitizes kitchen and break room.
7. Cleans and sanitizes Conference Room, Board Room and Training Room.
8. Maintains and stores equipment and supplies in a clean, safe condition.
9. Utilizes detergents, disinfectants, polishes finishes, etc.
10. Cleans all glass surfaces.
11. Dust blinds and window sills.
12. Dust open areas on desks.
13. Dust computer screens.
14. Vacuums mats and all carpeted areas.
15. Disinfect all door handles and knobs.
16. Removes wall scuff marks.
17. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

2. Pulling, pushing, lifting, bending, standing, and stooping.

3. Able to operate machinery.



WORKING CONDITIONS:

1. Inside and outside work
2. Dust, dirt, chemicals and sharp objects.


INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS:

1. Ability to effectively relate to persons with various types of disabilities, personalities and cultural backgrounds.
2. Ability to work with others in a team approach to management and client services.
3. Ability to effectively communicate with others.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Experience in janitorial operations or training preferred.

2. Motivated with the desire to help others; particularly those with disabilities.

3. Must pass Goodwill background check and drug screen.
