Interior Design Assistant
We are looking for an artful Interior designer to undertake a variety of space designing projects. You must take direction well, communicate effectively, learn quickly, go above and beyond your role to multitask in a busy studio setting in an even busier/faster-paced field and industry. You will deal with design from conceptual development via hand sketching, drafting plans and elevations, and using Adobe InDesign to layout design schemes. You will communicate with vendors via phone and email regularly, track orders, assist the design team and Principals with sourcing furnishings and accessories, take sourcing trips to the SF design center, organize design library materials, inquire about new and innovative finishes and textiles, and generally be a spirited and supportive team member of our small but mighty team.
Skills
We are looking for someone with a very keen and discerning eye for high-end design, accessories and art
Proficient in AutoCAD, Vectorworks, SketchUp, 3D Max, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign & Photoshop a must)
Excellent portfolio of previous works- must include with application
VERY good communication and presentation skills
Project management skills- create google spreadsheets to organize projects, track orders and constantly keep it updated
