Foundry Permanent Molder

The permanent molder, under limited supervision, pours molten aluminum into a fixed steel mold in accordance with Company safety standards and customer quality requirements.
What you'll do:
Prepare and preheat permanent molds
? Paint molds and chills with paint sprayer(s)
? Prepare preheat and install elements on molds
Pour aluminum into permanent molds
? Heat and prep ladles
? Proper don and doff of PPE
Clean, fill and maintain metal melting furnaces
? Apply temperature
? Flux
? Degas
? Test/alloy metal as needed
Qualifications:
? Able to lift up to 50 lbs. while demonstrating safe lifting practices
? Able to read and understand technical instructions
? Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
? Ability to perform and complete repetitive, physically laborious tasks safely, efficiently, and industriously
? Ability to work next to and/or around a hot furnace during a full shift in extreme heat�especially during the summer months.
? Basic hand tool knowledge
? Basic Air Tool knowledge
? Effective communication skills
