Job description
We are looking for a professional Floral Assistant to join our team. The floral assistant's main role is to assist in curating beautiful flower arrangements. The specific duties of a floral assistant include working with floral designer's to create beautiful and inspiring floral arrangements, processing flowers, cleaning floral stems, ensuring buckets are clear of debris and foliage, organizing floral displays to ensure aesthetic appeal, taking orders over the phone and in person, processing payments, cleaning the work area, and receiving and organizing store inventory. You should be ready to work with other team members, maintain superior customer service, and bring a positive hard-working attitude.
Responsibilities
Create flower arrangements based on specific floral recipes under direct supervision
Assist floral designers in curating new, modern floral arrangements
Cleaning flowers and preparing stems for arrangement
Process flowers
Recommend flower arrangements according to customer requests and budget
Take phone and in-person orders
Process payments
Clean the work area and maintain an overall clean environment
Receive shipments of inventory
Organize inventory and flowers according to guidelines
Maintain a daily inventory count
Design flower displays
Ensure high quality of flowers and service
Skills
Proven work experience as a florist or floral assistant
Artistic ability to develop aesthetically pleasing flower arrangements
Outstanding time management skills
Ability to multi-task successfully
Able to lift heavy objects like boxes and buckets filled with water
Excellent communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Must be able to work on your feet throughout your shift
Great under pressure
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
