Field Service Technician
Company Description
AquaSafe Pool Covers is an independent distributor of Cover Pools Automatic Pool Covers and a leading supplier of automatic pool covers in the Atlanta area. AquaSafe services and installs automatic pool covers, primarily in the residential market. AquaSafe is located in Suwanee, GA.
Job Responsibilities:
This person will assist a senior technician to perform the following duties:
Service automatic pool covers. Includes trouble-shooting problems and replacing or adjusting the defective parts. Typical replacement parts include motors, gears, covers, ropes, pulleys, cables etc.
Install new pool cover systems and replacement covers.
Demonstrate operation the customer and answer their questions.
Includes basic connection of the 110v equipment and low voltage control wiring.
Asses the operation of the cover and make adjustments so the cover runs even and smooth.
Perform different sorts of maintenance from repairing or replacing the drive mechanisms, patching covers, cleaning covers, and cleaning the pit which houses the cover.
Occasionally receiving shipments and loading the van for the days’ jobs.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Additional technical training preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and critical thinking skills. Able to quickly grasp how the automatic equipment works and solve the problems
Experienced with hand tools. Comfortable using drills and a sawzall.
Able to make basic electrical connections (110V) and complete basic electrical troubleshooting.
Good understanding of electricity and how it’s used to power equipment.
Zero workplace accidents attitude.
Able to comfortably lift 50 lbs or more.
Good communication skills to report findings and actions.
Good driving record and comfortable driving the service van or truck.
Job Description.
Service, repair and install automatic pool covers. The day starts and ends at the warehouse in Suwanee, GA. Employees drive or ride in a company vehicle to the job sites. Most jobs are in the Atlanta metropolitan area, though jobs can be as far as Chattanooga and Augusta.
Work Hours are M-F 7-4. During the peak swim season from May to September some overtime is required, and occasional Saturdays. During the winter months hours will be less with little or no overtime. Flexibility is needed, as some days start earlier and end later.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
