We are currently seeking a Full-Time Family Care Coordinator to join our team in Sacramento, CA.
As a Family Care Coordinator, you will be part of our fantastic Clinical team and will work with families to facilitate the organ and tissue donation process.
In addition to working closely with donor families, other responsibilities include:

Working with hospital personnel, physicians, and Organ Recovery Coordinators
Working on an on-call basis to facilitate the authorization process with potential organ and tissue donor families
Responsible for responding on site for initial referrals for screening, to support families onsite for organ cases, and to offer the donation opportunity. On call responsibilities may be affected by increased donor activity. Extensive on call services will be required.
Consistently communicates and has empathy for both the donor family and potential transplant recipient
Responsible for responding on site independently or with an ORC to hospital referrals in order to assess donors, interpret charts, document information, and communicate findings in a timely manner

Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
Two to four years of healthcare experience with families, counseling, bereavement, and/or crisis intervention preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Programs
