Wellings Capital is a real estate private equity firm based in Lynchburg, VA dedicated to helping investors protect and grow their wealth while freeing victims from human trafficking. Our mission is to provide multi-generational financial security to our investors and free at least 5,000 slaves from human trafficking by 2026. We are growing quickly, and we're hiring a full-time Executive Assistant to join our team of A Players as we scale from 450 investors to 900 and beyond in the next few years.

The mission for this role is to stay 10 steps ahead of their leader, tracking all of the administrative details, and clearing the path for them to make the greatest contribution to the business possible. The Executive Assistant will be a key asset to the Managing Partner by anticipating needs at an exceptionally high level, allowing them to develop vision and strategy for all aspects of the company so that we can reach our revenue and profitability goals. This role could be in-person or remote, but preference will be given to those candidates in the Lynchburg, VA area. Starting salary depends on experience.

Responsibilities

Email management on behalf of the Managing Partner
Complex calendar management and scheduling (both personally and professionally) on behalf of the principals
Meeting management including preparing agendas, printing reports, taking notes and distributing action items
Communicating on the principal's behalf both internally and externally
Varying personal and professional administrative tasks including, but not limited to booking appointments, research projects, coordinating travel arrangements, and ordering gifts/flowers, etc.
Running errands and attending meetings weekly
Act as the point of contact among executives, employees, clients and other external partners
Oversee the performance of other clerical staff
Format information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, reports
Light project management and accounts payable duties
Requirements
High attention to detail and accuracy
Must be an excellent communicator, in both written and oral form. This includes proficiency in spelling, grammar, and punctuation. This also includes being able to take a large amount of information and summarize it quickly both in writing and orally on a regular basis. Must also be able to track communication (and be very responsive) across multiple channels without losing any details. Those channels could include in-person meetings, virtual video calls, text messages, and/or emails.
In addition to working directly with the Managing Partner, the EA will also work with other team members to accomplish large projects. They’ll need to be able to collaborate and communicate well with these team members, maintaining a can-do spirit and not complaining, making excuses, or gossiping.

This means you know how to stay 10 steps ahead of your leader, clearing the path for him to make his greatest contribution.
Our EA will be technologically savvy and not be intimidated by learning new technology. Proficiency in the following tech platforms is ideal: Hubspot, Zoom, Google Suite, Asana, Microsoft Office Suite, ConvertKit, and Adobe Acrobat Po.
