The City of Bremerton Engineering Department:
Our department provides a full range of service to the community including Transportation Planning and project delivery, Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater planning, capital project delivery, and Development Services. Currently due to COVID staff are both working from home and in the office as work allows. This position may continue to have some flexibility in this regard in the future.

The Department is currently seeking applicants to fill a vacant Engineering Project Manager - Transportation position.

The hiring range for this position is: $94,200.96 - $114,774.72 annually (DOQ). A hiring bonus is available for this position.

The Position:
The Engineering Project Manager � Transportation is a professional staff management classification with responsibility for planning and managing street improvement projects, or other special projects, and will include both administrative and technical oversight. Our project delivery model allows engagement on a project from the planning phase, through design, to construction completion. This position may include in-house design delivery, consultant management during design, construction management, grant writing, and communication with outside agencies, project partners, and the public.

This position is a regular full-time, Fair Labor Standards Act exempt position. The regular work schedule for the Engineering Project Manager - Transportation is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00p.m. although some flexibility within core hours is available.

The Ideal Candidate:
The City of Bremerton is seeking an Engineering Project Manager � Transportation with experience in transportation planning, capital project delivery, construction management and traffic engineering. The candidate must exercise a high degree of independent professional judgment in resolving administrative and technical problems within program goals and objectives. The ideal candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or other related filed from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of full-time experience as a licensed Professional Engineer.
The qualified applicant should exhibit and instill in subordinates a high public service priority in contacts with the public and others encountered in the work. Prior public sector experience is a plus.
