Cheyenne Country Club in Cheyenne, Wyoming is seeking a Head Tennis Professional to promote and elevate both tennis and pickle ball as an important part of our members� lifestyle and recreational enjoyment. Our club has 5 excellently maintained outdoor courts, within a beautiful setting, surrounded by our state of the art 18-hole golf course and large swimming pool. We are interested in an experienced and dedicated professional, committed to providing excellent tennis and pickle ball experiences to players of all ages and helping our members improve upon techniques by providing quality instruction and coaching. We are looking for an individual with high energy and self-motivation.

The candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, exceptional customer service skills, and be proficient, as well as, willing to teach players of all ages and abilities in both tennis and pickleball. The ideal candidate will be USPTA or PTR Certified. Experience teaching all ages and skill levels preferred, with both tennis and pickleball. Additional requirements include but are not limited to; promoting and teaching private and group lessons to juniors and adults of all ability levels, court maintenance, ability to string and re-grip racquets, and promote tennis/club activities using email, social media, and personal communication skills. This position will organize all tennis and pickleball activities and management of facilities, will help plan and promote clinics, adult and junior league teams, mixers, and tournaments. Must be able to work during days, nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Performs or ensures the completion of the following functions. This is not meant to be an exhaustive list of tasks, but rather the most common functions of the position)

? Manages the operation of the Club Tennis Facility. Expected to be on the premises during peak hours of usage.
? Plans and implements instructional tennis and pickleball programs.
? Supervises beginner and intermediate junior and adult tennis lessons.
? Encourage and maximize member participation by planning new events and activities to include social, competitive, and instructional programming for all levels.
? Help members improve their tennis techniques by providing quality instruction and coaching.
? Maintains all mechanical operations of the tennis courts including the tennis pro-shop, court lighting, and bathrooms.
? Interviews, hires, schedules, and manages all tennis personnel. This includes ensuring that the appropriate number of staff is scheduled due to the number of members and guests.
? Ensures that the tennis staff possess the appropriate certifications and that they are sufficiently trained in Club procedures.
? Ensures that members and guests are observing and following the rules of the Club and tennis facility.
? Creates and updates tennis facility procedures and policies and ensures that procedures and policies are being followed.
? Writes a newsletter article for the monthly newsletter at the direction of the newsletter Editor.
? Monitor and evaluate attendance, revenue, and training.

Director of Tennis and Pickleball Operations

Job Description
? Remain current with various styles of instruction, coaching, learning techniques and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
? Promoting and teaching private and group lessons to juniors and adults of all ability levels.
? Consistently demonstrates teamwork and a friendly, professional, and helpful attitude with all members, guests, and fellow employees.
? Enthusiastically encourage member participation by planning new events to promote the sports and fellowship in the Club. Organize, schedule, and manage tournaments, clinics, round robins, social events, and other tennis related activities to maximize members� access to and enjoyment of the tennis and pickleball facilities.
? Operating of Pro-Shop? Strings racquets and performs other light equipment repair.
? Any additional duties required by the Board of Directors, Director of Business Operations, Director of Clubhouse Operations or Director of Golf Operations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

? Knowledge of Tennis and Pickleball management principles, practices, and techniques.
? Knowledge of teaching principles and practices that will ensure the proper instruction is provided during tennis and pickleball lessons.
? Knowledge of Cheyenne Country Club Rules and Regulations.
? Skill at instructing different age groups of people to play tennis.
? Skill at effectively, proactively, and professionally resolving problems as they arise.
? Ability to management multiple priorities at one time.
? Ability to manage diverse groups of people effectively (employees, members & guests).
? Ability to use computer software to create work schedules, create and update tennis facility procedures and write newsletter articles.

QUALIFICATIONS:

? A minimum of three years tennis instruction required.
? Tennis Professional certifications are required.
? Current Tennis Professional Organization membership required.
? The highest Professional Tennis Certification preferred.
