THIS IS A SLEEP IN POSITION.
The Direct Care Worker shall have training in those supportive services which are required to provide and maintain physical and emotional comfort and assist the client toward independent living in a safe and caring environment. The Direct Care Worker shall have at least a high school diploma/GED or at least 1 year of experience working in a medical, psychiatric, nursing or child care setting or in working with persons who have a developmental disability. Vocational/technical training equal to 30 semester classroom hours can be substituted for the required experience. The Direct Care worker must: be suitable both physically and mentally to properly care for the clients, have a valid CPR card, be able to anticipate and handle the needs of the clients and be able to handle emergency situations intelligently. The Direct Care Worker is expected to cooperate with the supervisory staff, other direct care workers, clients, families and friends.

This job is a sleep-in position (24 hours) and candidate must be mature and reliable adults with reliable transportation.
