Job Description:
Boys and Girls Country has an immediate opening for a Christian married couple to parent up to 8 children in a large cottage that includes Houseparent living quarters. For 50 years, Boys and Girls Country has hired Houseparent couples that are led by God to help change the lives of children from families in crisis by loving and nurturing them in a Christian home. This is a 24/7 live-in position and we are currently looking for married couples and individuals with a commitment to work 24 hours a day for 8 days, with 4 days off. All candidates must successfully complete a criminal history investigation, drug testing and TB test. Applicants must have experience working with children including volunteering, Sunday school and/or church ministry. Houseparents receive comprehensive training for 2 to 3 weeks, including the Teaching-Family Model, TBRI, Crisis Intervention/SAMA, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration.

Qualifications:
� Have the ability to live on-site and work 24 hours per day, with an 8 day on/4 day off schedule.
� Must be at least 21 years of age.
� Must be cleared through criminal background and FBI fingerprint investigation.
� Must be cleared through a drug panel test
� Tuberculosis testing
� Must complete or have current CPR and First Aid training within 90 days of employment
� Must attend pre-service training and complete at least 30 hours of in-service training annually.
� High School Diploma or state-authorized high school equivalent certificate required
� Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
� A minimum of three years job related experience. Three years of experience may be substituted with unpaid church positions and service.
� For Houseparent couples, you must be married for a minimum of two years.
� Ability to organize, prioritize work, and present information concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
� Valid Texas driver�s license and good driving history
