JOB SUMMARY:

Full-time position to provide digital skills training to Goodwill Industries of Tenneva staff, program participants, and partner agencies as approved by the Director of External Missions. Provide basic digital skills instruction in small group settings up to 20 participants at a time, virtually, and/or a blend of in-person and virtual sessions.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



Digital Skills:



Works with Director of External Missions to identify and develop strategies to raise awareness of digital skills training availability and career projections based on labor market data (includes all age ranges and demographics)
Evaluates digital skills level of program participants as needed using Northstar Digital Literacy Assessment as needed by program staff or Goodwill employees
Provides classes at our Elizabethton Training Center, the Anita Steiner Training Center, Day Reporting Center, and other locations as assigned
Works with program staff to deliver tailored services as needed for special populations including veterans, people with disabilities, people involved in the criminal justice system, and people aged 55 and older.
Develops curricula to deliver introductory learning outcomes in the following areas:
Basic Computer Skills
World Wide Web
Windows
Email
Google’s G Suite
MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
Information Literacy
Social Media
Smartphones/Tablets
Computer Safety
Prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials using a blended learning environment that facilitates active learning
Use Goodwill Industries of Tenneva’s Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver training modules to staff members
Use Skills To Succeed platform and modules as necessary to provide additional training.

Knowledge and Abilities:

Education and Experience:

Associate Degree or equivalent in education and experience.
Demonstrated competency in MS Office; MS Certification a plus.
Experience with seniors and/or people with disabilities preferred.
Employment history that demonstrates ability to work independently.
Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record; willingness to travel within region
Must be able to attend conferences or training outside of the region as needed.
