Design Engineer
Job Purpose: Design and develop conveyor and conveyor equipment based on clients needs.
Resume is required for a candidate to be considered. Sample work will be asked for if candidate meets qualifications. Candidates being considered may be experienced or inexperienced. If experienced, we are looking for a candidate that’s already comfortable with CAD design, has sheet metal experience and that can be trained to design conveyors of all kinds. If inexperienced, then training would be hands-on. The candidate should be someone who enjoys CAD design and someone who would like long term employment. Job roles will in time include the following:
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Communicate with Clients to Design conveyors based on company standards, engineering principles, and some pre-existing industry standards.
Use 3D modeling or Design to Generate a full set of CAD drawings based on Drafting Standards (i.e Assembly drawings, Bend Details, BOM, Component drawings) and make improvement revisions thereafter.
Communicate with Management, team members, and outside clients to obtain necessary information to execute projects effectively.
Candidates will take partial lead in assigned projects, and in time, full responsibility of assigned projects. Providing guidance to fabrication for parts and dimensions when needed will be necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed
Knowledge of CAD Software, and Drafting Principles
Able to work in a fast-paced environment, and multi-task effectively.
Bi-lingual Work Environment (English and Spanish) (Preferred, Not Required)
Demonstrate Interpersonal skills, comfortable working with other team members
Coachable, responds well to oversight or management, able to take constructive criticism often.
Maintain excellent punctuality and attendance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience and Education is a plus, but not required. Candidates of all levels are being considered, especially those with experience in Sheet Metal Industry:
1+ year in manufacturing Environment
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineer
Read, analyze, and interpret drawings, technical procedures, and standards
General knowledge of Fabrication, Mechanical Design, and Sheet metal
Minimal Required Qualifications:
Ability to use one of the Following: Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk AutoCad, Onshape or Solidworks. (Required)
Ability to Draft and Develop working fabrication drawings.
Drivers License
legally authorized to work in the United States
Work Environment
Office, unless the employee is infield or with client designing in the field, or taking measurements. Occasionally walking around the shop to check on Design progress.
Occasional Traveling required to Client within the US
This is a full-time, On-site, position only. Hours are 7am-3:30pm Monday through Friday.
Compensation/Benefits
Hourly Pay is based on experience as it applies to our line of work. As the candidate becomes more proficient, more responsibility and pay will be extended to him/her.
Employees are eligible to use benefits after completion of a 6-month introductory period.
VACATION: you are entitled to 1 week of paid vacation for the first 3 years of employment and 2 weeks per year thereafter. Vacation day use can begin at the completion of the 3-month introductory period. If used consecutively, no less than 15-day advance notice is required to schedule use of vacation days.
HOLIDAYS: your position provides for paid holidays. Holidays as follows: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Christmas day, New Year’s Day and Thanksgiving Day.
HEALTH CARE: you are eligible for Medical Healthcare Benefits after the 3-month introductory period. CMS, Inc. pays 50% of the applicable premium of CMS offered plans. Currently Kaiser Permanente. The remaining premium is deducted from employees' regular paycheck.
