Dental Hygienist
SMALL ESTABLISHED FAMILY DENTAL PRACTICE SEEKING A REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST IDEALLY PREFER SOMEONE WITH EXPERIENCE. WE HAVE ONE DOCTOR AND ONE HYGIENIST. OUR CURRENT HYGIENIST IS RETIRING. IDEAL CANIDATE WOULD BE WILLING TO WORK THE FOLLOWING SCHEDULE:
4 DAY WEEK AMOUNTS TO ROUGHLY 30 HRS PER WEEK PLUS OR MINUS
MONDAY 9-5
TUESDAY 11-7
THURSDAY 10-7
FRIDAY 8-2
NO WEEKENDS!!

ONE WEEK PAID VACTION AFTER ONE YEAR
PAID HOLIDAYS (MEMORIAL DAY, LABOR DAY, THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS, NEW YEARS, 4TH OF JULY ARE ROTATING BASED ON THE DAY IT FALLS) BEGINS AFTER 90 DAYS
401k BEGINS AFTER 1 YEAR
DENTAL SERVICES AFTER 90 DAYS FOR YOURSELF AND AFTER 6 MONTHS FOR YOUR IMMEDIATE FAMILY.
Qualifications
Associate's or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
Illinois Registered Dental Hygiene License
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
Possess outstanding time management and communication skills
Ability to work within a team for the good of the patient and practice
Passion for continued improvement of skills and exceptional patient experience
Strong sense of accountability and integrity
Key Responsibilities
Deliver dental hygiene patient care to patients through prophylaxis and periodontal therapy
Completing probing, x-rays and oral cancer screening
Applies fluorides and other cavity- preventing agents
Educates patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
Documents dental hygiene services
Dental sealants
Keeps inventory of hygiene supplies (i.e. things included in patient care bags), things used daily for hygiene purposes.
Knowledge of Eaglesoft and Schick Digital is a plus!!
