Job Description: Partner with doctors, hygienists, and support staff to maintain excellent patient service and integrity within the organization. The Dental Assistant has direct responsibility for patient's experience. Provide outstanding customer service for the patient; make the patient the #1 priority; excellent chair side manner.

Specific Responsibilities:
Assist doctor and team
• Maintain flow of doctor's schedule
• Ensure dental supplies are stocked and ordered when low/pull tags before taking next one) Ordering dental supplies
• Making sure office maintenance is assigned and up to date
• Assist staff in scheduling patients' follow up visits

Patient Care
• Patient Treatment – Enroll and engage patient in their dental health and smile, perform patient oral evaluations
• Perform efficient and accurate procedures to maintain a smooth flow of patients throughout the day; create "no patient wait time;" maintain time flexibility for patient; be present, engaged, ready to work at all assigned shift times
• Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance
• Ensure that patients are accompanied at all times (if possible) in operatory during their appointment
• Take high quality digital x-rays – panoramic and single, itero scans, patient photos, intra oral camara photos
• High quality laboratory work

Documentation/Charting
• Verify patient health history (basic health review, medications, understanding impact with dentistry) and document appropriately and any changes in patient's chart in Eaglesoft
• Review patient chart prior to doctor arrival and log appropriate patient data during exam and treatment as well as transcribe doctor notes in patient chart
• Take Blood pressure on all patients

OSHA/HIPAA Compliance

Contribute to Practice Goals
• Practice leadership; lead by example using Fortune tools; exercise good team work; have mutual respect for team; partner with team to create an exceptional experience for patient
• Promote and market the practices’ services, products and doctors to patients as well as educate patients and address their questions and/or concerns
• Complete tasks as assigned.
• Attend daily planning meetings (i.e., morning huddles), staff meetings and other required continuing education meetings

Operatory & Supplies & Laboratory
• Clean and prepare operatory per practice procedures and OSHA guidelines prior to patient appointment
• Monitor level of dental supplies and place tags to be ordered
• Ensure all in-office and out-of-office laboratory office procedures are competed and back in the office 2 days prior to delivery
• Ensure laboratory is in order and clean.
• Ensure lab cases, scans and any other necessary patient information are sent off within 24 hours of patient visit
