Assistant Marketing (Proposal) Coordinator

A local Houston Civil Engineering firm seeks a full-time Assistant Marketing (Proposal) Coordinator to join & support our team. The position requires working as part of a team and demands excellent organization, communications, event planning and interpersonal skills.


Duties
� Report to Senior Manager � Corporate Marketing Services
� Assist in preparing and assembling Proposals, Statements of Qualifications, and Presentations. Work includes organization, technical writing, coordinating other sections written by design professionals, proofreading, graphics, printing, and distribution.
� Maintain inventory of marketing materials and elements such as corporate brochures, press releases, direct mail pieces, and ads related to business development and marketing.
� Monitor and manage marketing materials necessary to complete general marketing duties. (Presentation Boards, Cardstock, Ink toner, Paper, CD�s, SOQ materials, etc.)
� Create and manage client�s communications and mailings as needed, related to marketing activities, including newsletters, corporate communications, etc.
� Maintain and update corporate information on company website.
� Assist in building & maintaining our online social media. Compose & post online content on company website and social media accounts.
� Assist in Planning & organizing marketing & charity events.
� Available to work after hour events on evenings and weekends when necessary
� Assist the Senior Manager for Corporate Marketing Services with preparing formal written proposals and presentations including gathering of information, selection of materials, methods, graphics, slides, in conjunction with staff.
� Maintain files and update proposal database in Cosential, including: resumes, project sheets, project descriptions, submitted proposals & presentations.
� Tracking & Reporting Demand Star or other Data Bases & Client Websites for RFQ and LOI�s.
� Maintain and report on marketing and business development efforts, including database of clients and consulting firms/partnering companies.


Qualifications Required
� 5+ yrs. similar/related experience
� Degree in Communications, English, Business, marketing or other related field
� Excellent communications and people skills
� Excellent and writing skills
� Experience with preparing Proposals/Letters of Interests (TxDOT proposal experience a plus)
� Familiar to Proficient with the following softwares: Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop software or comparable software; graphics software a plus.
