Delivery Driver
Denver based Glass Company with a 20 year history is looking for a reliable delivery driver with a great attitude. The qualified candidate shall possess a clean driving record (provide a copy of MVR), able to pass a pre-employment drug test, and be able to occasionally lift up to 75 Lbs. Glass handling experience is a plus, but not required as we will train the right person for this position. Must be trustworthy and be able to communicate effectively. The driver is responsible for loading, securing, and transporting materials and equipment from our fabrication shop to construction sites, as well as picking up material orders. Ability to operate a forklift for loading will also be very important in the driver position. Most deliveries will be with a standard full size pickup truck. The largest vehicle the employee will be asked to drive is a 1 ton dually with 24 foot goose neck trailer.
Additional duties include vehicle safety inspections, ensuring preventive maintenance is performed on schedule for the vehicle fleet and ensuring cleanliness for each vehicle. When not driving, this person shall help with shop duties such as fabrication, organization, cleaning, or other items. Deliveries and pickups are local in the Denver area and we will typically reschedule any stops if there is heavy snow or ice creating hazardous driving conditions.
This position is full time M-F typically 7:00am-3:30pm. $20 per hour, depending on experience. Health insurance is paid in full for the employee. Paid holidays, sick, and vacation.
