We are a busy local catering company cooking for a range of clients including film/photo shoots, music concerts, private clients, and corporate offices!
We are currently looking to add a both a FULL TIME and a PART TIME CATERING COOK into our team.
You will be asked to work in our shared kitchen space (Fremont) as well as onsite at events. We are looking for someone who can blend well into a fun hard-working team setting. You must have flexible availability and be willing to work some long days/weekends as needed.
Experience working in any kind of professional kitchen preferred, basic kitchen cooking skills required. Creativity is welcome!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepares and cooks food per Ripe Catering menus, recipes, and quality standards, both in Ripe Catering kitchens and at on-site events
• Maintains the cleanliness and readiness of workstations
• Correctly sets up, completes prep work, and executes all the responsibilities of the assigned prep work
• Ensures all kitchen equipment is clean, functional, and well-maintained at all times
• Maintains the kitchen's system of storing, preparing and cooking food

• Strong verbal communication skills
• Effective multi-tasking and follow-up ability
• Solid problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional time management and workload management abilities
• Work well in high pressure situations
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to stand for 8+ hours
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• High level of mobility; walking, standing, carrying, etc
Work Environment
• High volume production kitchen
• Hourly wage position
