Building Envelope Consultant
BUILDING ENVELOPE CONSULTANT
Construction Moisture Consulting, Inc. (CMC), a Tampa, Florida-based building envelope consulting firm established in 1992 is actively seeking qualified candidates for immediately available Professional Building Envelope Consultant positions. Minimum qualifications include:
Must be able to travel throughout Central and South Florida.
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (Florida Professional A/E or P/E Registration a plus), Structural/Civil Engineering or Building/Construction Science. Will consider direct experience (7+ years) in lieu of degree.
Technical background in waterproofing, air barriers, curtain walls, window systems, elastomeric sealants, coatings, below-grade waterproofing and roofing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills including word processing, email, electronic file management, etc. CAD experience a plus.
Must be detail-oriented, organized, reliable and self-directed.
Qualified Veteran candidates are encouraged to apply.
Basic duties will include window, building envelope, roofing and waterproofing field evaluation/testing, moisture surveys, design/specification development, design peer reviews, forensic investigation, ASTM and AAMA testing, project management, and quality assurance inspections and quality control. Must be willing to travel by car throughout Central Florida with minimal overnight travel as well as occasional travel to other locations outside of Florida.
Competitive compensation package including reimbursable travel expenses with benefits including PTO, Health Insurance program (company paid HSA or company subsidized traditional plan) for employee and Simple IRA retirement plan. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
