Bookkeeper
Stable (over 75 years in business), family owned, friendly, and expanding small business public accounting firm looking for a responsible person who wants a long-term career accounting position.
Accounting degree preferred but not required if you have strong prior experience in public accounting. Quickbooks experience required.
Must be able to take raw financial data, enter it into accounting programs and produce a financial statement. Candidate must have a working knowledge of a Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows.
The best candidates should be responsible and self-motivated as you would be in charge of your own book of clients and will be working somewhat independently with your own schedule.
If you are currently working in public accounting and do not feel appreciated, this may be your new home. Pleasant, none stressful, accommodating culture. Rarely will you work over 40 hours per week.
Tax experience is a plus and would offer quick advancement in our organization.
This is not a remote accounting position. You must live within daily driving distance to our location but this position does allow for remote work after a probationary period.
Hourly compensation between $28-$32 per hour, dependent on experience. Full medical and dental benefits offered.
