Job Description:
For The Child has an opening for a Master Level Therapist. This position provides an opportunity to gain experience in clinical assessment, cross agency collaboration and providing quality clinical services to children and families. Eligible candidate must be currently registered with the BBS as an ACSW or MFT intern. For The Child is an agency with a long history of providing child abuse prevention and treatment services. We offer a supportive environment with wonderful training opportunities and excellent clinical supervision toward successful BBS Licensure.

Qualifications:
1. A qualifying Master’s Degree in Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work.
2. One year of clinical field training or related work experience with children and adolescents.
3. Experience working with families at high risk or recovering from trauma.
4. Registration with the Board of Behavioral Science as a Registered Marriage and Family Intern or Associate Clinical Social Work Intern required within 60 days of employment.
5. Experience and training in Evidence Based Practices preferred.

6. Reliable Transportation

Duties:
• Mental Health evaluation, treatment and case management of children and adolescents referred to this agency with a history of trauma, mental health diagnosis or are at high risk and have impaired functioning in home, school or community. Duties will be performed under formal supervision by a licensed mental health provider in accordance with BBS guidelines.
• Mental health duties will include crisis intervention, multi-source mental health and psychosocial assessment, DSM-IV diagnosis, treatment planning, individual, group, family therapy, Evidence Based Practices, clinical documentation and case management.
• Participate in one hour of individual face to face clinical supervision weekly, and two hours of group supervision weekly with a licensed mental health provider (Psychologist, LCSW or LMFT) as required by the Board of Behavioral Science. Participate in specialized Evidenced Based focused supervision.

• Participate in ongoing training and case consultation specific to Evidence Based Practices.
• Participate in Group Supervision, Staff Meetings, Community Meetings and Training as assigned by Clinical Supervisor and in compliance with the BBS.
