Bicycle Mechanic
The Wheel Thing bike shop in La Grange Park seeks applicants for sales staff and bicycle mechanics.
We are considering applications for both part time and full time/managerial positions. Prior bike shop experience is definitely preferred.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about bikes, rides bikes, and thoroughly enjoys all aspects of bicycle culture. Please list your current favorite bike to ride in the resume/cover letter.
Applicants must have good communication skills with customers and fellow employees, attention to detail in all aspects of the job, good mechanical aptitude, be literate in bicycle technology and must be willing to create a positive experience for each customer visiting the shop.
Applicants seeking work as a bicycle mechanic should have prior experience working on bikes in a professional environment.
As this is a retail environment, applicants must be willing to work weekends.
