TJ’s Auto & Collision Center is looking for a Qualified Auto Mechanic!

Currently we are looking to grow our Service team!

The ideal candidate we are looking for will be responsible for the bumper to bumper repair and routine maintenance of auto & light trucks including diagnosing and repairing of engines, transmissions, electrical systems, clutches, differentials, and drivelines

Some of the Duties and Responsibilities are:

· Perform all levels of service of Auto, Light Trucks, and intermittently misc. equipment

· Diagnose and identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order

· Provide detailed estimates and/or explanation on technical diagnoses for prior approval to commencing work, to maintain excellent customer service internal & external.

· Test drive vehicles to ensure mechanical soundness and to determine whether any other problems exist

· Disassemble and reassemble damaged vehicles

· Assisting other technicians in performing technical activities

· Learning new technical information and techniques in relevant training in order to stay abreast of rapidly changing automotive technology

· Maintain work area appearance and safety

· Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

· Lift up to 50 lbs

· Ability to bend, stand, & kneel for longer periods of time

· High school diploma or GED preferred

· Valid driver’s license preferred

· 3+ years of automotive repair experience prefered

· ASE certification preferred

· Provide own mechanical tools is a must

· Dependable with excellent attendance history

· Ability to follow directions with little supervision

· Strong electrical and computer background

· Knowledge of equipment, and ability to operate diagnostic tools as required

· Ability to operate Mitchell1/Shopkey is a plus.

Job Type: Full Time Position

Pay is based upon experience and ranges from $12.50 to $25.00 per hour on a biweekly schedule.

Typical schedule is a 40 hour work week; Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm with a mandatory lunch time.
